One of the competitions greatest medium sized forwards to play, Paul will go down as one of Geelong’s best players once his time in the game finishes. Picked up by Essendon at the end of the 2013 season after Paul decided he had more to give, this late pick up has been repaid in spades to Essendon as Paul has brought experience and class to the Essendon forward line and midfield.

A big game player, many of Paul’s best performances have been on the last day in September which included a Norm Smith Medal in 2009 when Geelong narrowly overcame a determined St Kilda team. This was after some experts judged him best afield in the 2007 drought breaking Premiership against Port Adelaide.

With his body continuing to hold up to the rigours of AFL, many feel he still has a few years of good football in him. However when his career comes to a close, Paul will centre his focus on his interest as a Carpenter.
