Henry landed at Geelong after the 2001 AFL Draft and was a prominent player for the Cats in the 2005 season mainly as a forward, but also had the ability to play in the ruck and back.

Unfortunately due to injury and lack of opportunity in a team laden with talent, Henry requested a trade in 2008 to the Sydney Swans. Whilst the opportunities arose, he continued to struggle with injury before retiring at the end of the 2010 season.

Henry has remained with Sydney since retiring as a player where he was used as a Development Coach in 2011, guiding the Swans reserve team to a Premiership. Henry was then elevated to an Assistant role in 2012 predominantly managing the Forward Line in its AFL Premiership season.
