Date of Birth: 25/01/1996

Club: Collingwood FC

Games (Goals): 54 (61)

Recruited From: 2014 NAB AFL Draft, Pick 9 from Oakleigh Chargers (TAC Cup)

Boasting enormous athleticism for a key position player over 200cm, Darcy has taken AFL in his stride during his first three seasons. The son of Collingwood legend, Peter, the Pies used their first selection in the 2014 Draft to match the bid of the Western Bulldogs resulting in Darcy being selected with pick 9.

After biding his time in the VFL, Darcy made his AFL Debut in Round 14 of the 2015 season against Hawthorn who at the time were the reigning Premiers. Darcy quickly adapted to the speed of AFL and only two weeks later he kicked 5 goals in an 18 point loss to the Western Bulldogs which clearly showed the club and the AFL public that there was a bright future ahead.

Predominantly playing as a key forward, Darcy can also play in defence and the ruck proving his versatility which is required in the modern game. However it is up forward where he has made his mark kicking 51 goals in 54 games whilst regularly playing as the only key forward against the opposition team defence.

Season 2018 was particularly frustrating for Darcy as he suffered a recurring hamstring injury, however he has worked diligently to overcome the injury and his raring to go in 2019.
