Darcy Guttridge

Club: Collingwood

Playing Honours:

  • Vic Country 2017
  • AFL Womens Academy 2017

Darcy's composure and ball use sets her apart from the opposition. A terrific leader who successfully led the Vic Country Team in the Youth Girls competition on the Gold Coast in 2017, Darcy knows when to step up in a game at critical moments and get the best out of her teammates around her.

Living in Traralgon, Darcy played for the Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup Competition early in 2017, before playing VFLW for Cranbourne where she enjoyed a great season. At the conclusion of the season, Darcy was touted as being amongst the top 3 picks in Victoria which was testament to the year she had. However at the AFLW Draft, Darcy slipped down a pick leading to Collingwood to swoop on her with their second pick.

In what was an extremely frustrating year for Darcy as injury unfortunately cut her season short before it even began. After enjoying a great preseason, Darcy suffered a broken collarbone in the Practice Match against Melbourne which ruled her out for the season given it is only a seven week competition. Darcy continued to train hard on a modified program and is already looking forward to next season at Collingwood.
